Hello all.
We had a seamless trip and nice flying weather.  Flying in we had a beautiful sunrise. By the time we landed, found our way from the airport via bus to our hotel in the city centre, and checked in we had been travelling for 24 hours. We arrived in Glasgow under cloud cover and a bit of a grey day,but by the time we had our much needed nap it was sunny and 10ish degrees. We went out for our first seafood dinner in a lovely local restaurant called the Mussel Inn. It is very unassuming, but excellent service and the mussels were extremely fresh from the Shetland Islands. Portions sized are excellent and you can't beat the hospitality. As I expected the streets are rather hilly, but we did take a short walk around the block. The problem lies in exploring too far as some city blocks are flat , but then the next ones all around are pretty steep slopes. So where do I go from there... All in all a fantastic day and my first impression of the Scottish people is even better than anticipated. They are extremely hospitable and friendly and accessibility has been fantastic. The cabbies are excellent in that way. Five star day. More to come. Just letting you know we arrived and are having a fab time
